The Blue Dream Shrimp, a striking variation of Neocaridina davidi, stems from selective breeding, akin to the process that gave rise to the immensely popular red cherry shrimp. Originating from a brownish wild type shrimp, the blue dream's hues vary widely, from deep, opaque blues to lighter, more mottled tones. This diversity reflects the individuality of each shrimp's pattern, with some showcasing dark blue to black spots, stripes, or dots against a backdrop ranging from Caribbean light blue to intense blue-black. Bred from Blue Velvet Shrimp for optimal color richness, the Blue Dream is cherished by freshwater shrimp hobbyists for its stunning appearance and ease of care.

Great shrimp

Shrimps arrived healthy and the box was very well insulated. Also, the bag the shrimp arrived in was sealed well. A piece of netting was provided inside the bag for the shrimp to hold on to during transport.

If I could rate SSA a 10, I would! I ordered Cherry & Blue Dream shrimp plus some moss on 8-19-24. As of today, 9-6-24, those poor creatures are STILL lost in transition! But, the rockstars, John & his beautiful bride? The week of their wedding & honeymoon? Reshipped the entire order! I tried being upset over this situation but this Dynamic Duo wouldn't allow it! I thank them so, so much & will continue singing their praises as THE BEST online shrimp supplier anywhere! SSA is the GOAT! 🤩🦐

I picked up my order from the post office today and I couldn’t be happier. In spite of it being held at the post office an extra day I only had one loss (an Amano shrimp) but also two of my other bags (the cherry and the culls) contained a bonus tiny baby shrimp! So I actually got more than I paid for. ALL the shrimp were very active in the bag and are now happily swimming around in my tank! Thank you so much
